Generative-algorithmic design

Kim Chu is a table top light designed using a custom built algorithm. 3D printed in semi-transparent bioplastics with the intention to reveal its internal wall structures, and to naturally diffuse the brightness from its internal LED light bulb.

This product offers true customization of 3 dimensional surface patterns according to the customers needs. This can be done in real-time.

How can the power of generative-algorithmic design be used to solve complex 3D modeling structures?

How can generative-algorithmic design be used to generate meaningful aesthetics?

How can generative-algorithmic design be used to protect a designer’s IP?

Great design isn’t just there to solve ROI but to evoke our intimate appreciation for the natural qualities of materials through the development of human senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing, perception and extrasensory perceptions.

Don’t underestimate the power of generative-algorithmic design and 3D printing. If done right can be great.
